About Tantrum Scripts

Tantrum Scripts is a library of original, word-for-word scripts for toddler tantrums, organized by age (12 months to 4 years) and situation. It is a project of Urban Algorithm LLC.

Quick answer

Is Tantrum Scripts written by doctors?

No. Tantrum Scripts is written and reviewed by our parenting editorial team, parents and parenting writers, not doctors, therapists, or a medical practice. We do not claim any clinical license or certification, and we make no medical claims anywhere on this site.

We're parents, not doctors

Every script here is grounded in mainstream, factually described frameworks (emotion validation and co-regulation, covered in our approach guide), never a clinical claim we cannot back up. Where published approaches genuinely differ, like time-in versus time-out, we describe both sides honestly with sources rather than pretending there is one right answer. Where a pattern is genuinely worth a pediatrician conversation, we say so directly instead of staying silent or over-claiming; see our honest handoff guide.

How we write scripts

Each scenario in our script library is original writing: a plain- language developmental note, three script variants (validate-first, choices, humor or redirect), a list of what not to say and why, and an honest read on when it usually passes. No script is copied from a paid course, book, or another site. Full detail is on our methodology page.

How we make money

Right now, we do not. The scenario picker tool and every script are free and ungated, there is no email capture, and there is no paid tier. If we ever add a link that earns a commission, it will be clearly disclosed and it will never sit inside the tool's actual script results.
