Privacy Policy

Tantrum Scripts is built to be used without giving up any personal information. We do not run accounts, we do not ask for your email, and we do not set tracking cookies. This policy describes exactly what happens to data when you use the site, and it only describes things we actually do.

Who we are

Tantrum Scripts is an independent parenting resource operated by Urban Algorithm LLC. We are the publisher and the data controller for this site. You can reach us through the Urban Algorithm contact page.

What we do not collect

• No user accounts, logins, or profiles.
• No email sign-up, newsletter, or contact form that stores your address.
• No advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party ad networks.
• No sale or sharing of personal information, because we do not hold any.

Your scenario picker selections stay on your device

The scenario picker tool runs entirely in your browser. The age band and situation you select are processed on your device to show you the right script and are not sent to us as identifiable information. There is no account, so there is no server-side copy of your selections to request or delete.

Anonymous aggregate statistics we do collect

We want to be plain about this, because it is the one thing that does leave your device. So that we can see whether the tool is useful, it sends a small, anonymous, banded event when you use it, for example which age band and situation category you picked. These events never contain your child's name, your name, free text, or any identifier, and no single event can be traced back to you.

Because of this, we do not claim that "nothing leaves your device." A coarse, anonymous summary does. What never leaves is anything that could identify you or your child.

Analytics

We measure aggregate traffic with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool we host ourselves. It is cookieless and collects anonymized data only: it does not set cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not build a cross-site profile. The anonymous tool events above are recorded through the same self-hosted, cookieless setup. No analytics data is sold or handed to an advertising network.

Affiliate links

This site currently carries no affiliate links. If that ever changes, each such link will be clearly disclosed here and where it appears, and it will never sit inside the scenario picker's results.

Third-party hosting

Like any website, our host and content-delivery network process the standard server request data (such as your IP address) needed to deliver the page to you. This is ordinary web infrastructure, is not used by us to profile you, and is not combined with any other data about you.

Children

Tantrum Scripts is written for adult caregivers, not for children, and it does not knowingly collect information from children. In fact, we do not collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this page and move the effective date above. Because we start from collecting nothing personal, any change would only ever be described here in the same plain terms.
